Lindsay Deneault

Lindsay Deneault is the director and primary dance instructor at Elite Dance. Miss Lindsay has studied under Daurice McIntyre, Kerry-Ann Mulrey and Amy McNabb. She has also had the pleasure of taking class with Steven Boyd, Gregg Russell, Wade Robson, Brian Freidman, Dave Scott and Mia Michels.

Miss Lindsay is a graduate of Providence College where she assisted in creating a dance degree program for the college under Dr. Wendy Oliver. While at college, she studied with the Providence Ballet and was also able to teach in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut.

Miss Lindsay has been choreographing since the age of 14 in places such as Riverside Theatre Works, Notre Dame Academy, Janet Keaney’s School of Dance and On Stage Dance Studio. She has been teaching ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary and hip-hop professionally since 1998. Most recently Miss Lindsay has had the opportunity to work with the Boston Ballet, Broderick’s Gymnastics Academy, and Take Centerstage Dance Challenge. Miss Lindsay’s students have traveled and competed from Massachusetts to Florida as well as Bermuda. She has also added Zumba® instruction, NIA and Piloxing®.

A member of the National Dance Educator Organization, Miss Lindsay, has traveled throughout the country for the Dance Olympus/Dance America organization. She has also had the opportunity to dance with Christina Aguilera and perform with Brian McKnight. She also reaches out to the community volunteering for YMCA programs, Earth Day and Family events.

Miss Lindsay has worked along with and adjudicated for the Miss America organization in Massachusetts, has managed Savaria Dance Studio for Ballroom and Latin dance, and worked for many other studios and organizations in order to promote dance education. She currently judges for national dance competitions, such as Starbound.

Charlie Holbrook

Charlie has years of teaching experience, having served as dance instructor at such institutions as Boston Conservatory, University of Rhode Island, Cathy Taylor School of Dance, American Academy of Dance and Dean College.

Charlie’s performance experience includes work at The Bonanza Hotel in Las Vegas, The Jimmy Fund Telethon, The Heart Fund Telethon and Leukemia Society Telethon. Charlie has studied with Jack Stanley, Henry LeTang, Danny Hoctor, Ron Daniels, Roy Dodge, Jimmy Sutton, Dean Barlow and Bob Audy.

Dr. Heather Gleason, PT, DPT, NCS

Heather began studying ballet under Herci and Ana Marsden at the State Ballet of Rhode Island’s Brae Crest school of Classical Ballet. While there, she performed in the company’s productions of Little Red Riding Hood and The Nutcracker.

After attending young dancers summer workshop, Heather joined Boston Ballet School including performing in annual productions of The Nutcracker. She continued to attend summer programs with the Boston Ballet and Burklyn Ballet Theatre. She later returned to the young dancers summer workshop to instruct students about injury prevention.

Throughout her under graduate and graduate studies, Heather has been involved in Simmons College Dance Company as a dancer, choreographer and executive board member. She recently received her doctorate of physical therapy in 2011. Her classical background took a turn after discovering Zumba® and Piloxing® at Elite Dance which lead to becoming an instructor.

Elissa DiBona

Elissa twirled her way into the dance studio at only 2 years old. At 6, she auditioned for the Boston Ballet, and spent 12 years seriously studying the Vaganova (Russian) tradition of ballet. She performed with the Company for several years in the critically acclaimed Nutcracker at the Wang Center in Boston.

To compliment her ballet training, Elissa also studied tap, jazz, and lyrical genres, competing regionally and nationally through out New England. She continued her studies at Hofstra University in New York, pursuing her love of dance, as well as minoring in Creative Writing and Psychology. After graduation, Elissa made the decision to move to New York, teaching and choreographing full time at dance studios on Long Island. In 2005, she was the co-founder and Artistic Director of the FAITH Dance Project, a contemporary ballet company that performs in Manhattan.

Elissa holds a graduate degree from Boston University, having studied Performing Arts Management, and is currently teaching dance in the Boston area, including a position on faculty at Stonehill College, teaching ballet and pointe. “Miss Elissa” is in love with her students, and wants to share her love of ballet and all things pink and sparkly with her “kids”!

Christine Partella

Christine competed in gymnastics at the national level throughout her high school years. She also started the varsity program at Norwood High School. Christine continued her gymnastics career in New York at Ithaca College. She graduated from Ithaca College in 2008 with a B.S. in Therapeutic Recreation.

Throughout college, Christine specialized in working with children of all ages. Since graduating, she has been working at Broderick Gymnastics in Hyde Park, where she coaches gymnastics to boys and girls of all ages. As a director, she creates the curriculum for recreational gymnastics ages 5 and up. Christine is also currently the assistant coach for Norwood High School varsity gymnastics team. Christine is very excited to share her gymnastics knowledge with Elite Dance Center!

Ruth McDonough

dancer-icon-largeRuth joined Elite Dance Center as a student in the Adult Dance and Zumba® Fitness classes in July of 2009. Her love of dance, group fitness and former background in cheerleading, gymnastics and coaching high school gymnastics are what led Ruthie to Elite.

The addictive energy, camaraderie and fun that she experienced at Elite in the Zumba® Dance-Fitness classes (and the adult dance classes) inspired Ruthie to become certified to teach Zumba® in April of 2011. Ruthie loves being able to teach and participate in the happy and creative environment provided by Elite. Since then, she has completed certifications for Zumba Toning, Piloxing, and Piloxing Barre.

Laura Becker

laura-beckerLaura joined Elite Dance Center in 2013. She started dancing at age two at Janet Keanney’s School of Dance under the direction of Miss Lindsay Deneault for the majority of her time there. Laura was able to travel to New York to take classes at Broadway Dance Center, along with performing at Disney World. After high school Laura attended Westfield State College where she was a captain of the competition cheerleaders team as well as a member of the dance club where she continued her dance training.

In addition to teaching, Laura also enjoys taking adult classes at Elite. Laura loves being a member of the Elite Dance Center staff and the energy and passion that everyone brings in class!

Cassandra A. Hunt

Cassandra grew up dancing with Paulette’s Ballet Studio in Medfield and Newton, MA. As an adult she continued her training, finding her way to Elite Dance Center in 2009 where she and her family have been students and performers ever since. Her passion for Zumba drove her to become a licensed instructor in 2013. Her goal is to see everyone leave the classes she leads with a smile on their face. Cassandra presently teaches Zumba®, Zumba® Step, as well as Zumba® Gold, and is studying for her AFAA and ACE Group Ex Certifications.

Robert Mulrey

Robert Mulrey graduated from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia with his BFA in Dance. He has been a soloist for several dance companies such as Ballet Magique, Lula Washington Dance Theatre, JADD Co., Nannette Brodie Dance Co., Louise Reichlin and Dancers, and Impulse Dance Company. He has been in theatrical productions such as Gentlemen Prefer Blondes 1st National Tour, Alice in Wonderland International Tour, Aida Los Angeles/Palm Beach Opera, and West Side Story. Robbie also performs in Boston with ACE Entertainment, and has been on faculty at Jeannette Neill Dance studio, Boston Ballet, Broadway Bound, and many others. Robbie has been a judge and master teacher for numerous dance competitions throughout the USA and Canada. He also sets choreography on companies and universities across the USA. Most recently Robbie was the head of the jazz program for the Alvin Ailey Summer camp.

Heather Jennings

She received her doctorate of physical therapy from Simmons College and has since become a Board Certified Neurological Specialist. She is active on the American Physical Therapy Assocation of Massachusetts Board of Directors and received the 2016 Emerging Leader Award.

Her classical background took a turn after discovering Zumba® and Piloxing® at Elite Dance Center, which lead to becoming an instructor for adult fitness and classical ballet. Being in an instructor at Elite has opened many doors for Heather from friendships to becoming the New England area Piloxing® Barre Master Trainer.

Annmarie Jarvis

ann-marie-jarvis-bioAnnmarie Jarvis has been dancing since she was 5. She joined Elite Dance Center when she was 10 years old taking a Hip Hop class. In 2011, she auditioned for the team and has been apart of the team ever since. She currently studies Ballet, Tap, Hip Hop, Contemporary, and Jazz. Starting off, she assisted childrens classes ages 3-11. Years following, she has auditioned and been accepted into summer programs such as Urbanity Summer Intensive two years in a row and Joffrey School of ballet summer programs. More recently she has gotten the opportunity to assist master teachers around the country with Danza Intensive. In the spring of 2016, she had placed 4th overall at Spirit of Dance Norwood, and had been given the opportunity to be on their All-Star team at Nationals. She was also chosen to be an Ultimate Assistant to assist teachers from “so you think you can dance”. Her self-choreographed solo “Willow” landed her the Young Choreographers Award in 2016.

In the season of 2016-2017, she joined the staff at Elite teaching Group and Solo classes and looks forward to competing her choreography

Alyssa Eagan

alyssa-eagan-bioAlyssa Eagan has been with Elite Dance Center since 2009. While with the studio, she has won several awards both at competitions and conventions. At Elite Performance challenge her trio won a creativity award. She has also won awards for her own choreography at a young age. She won the Elite Scholarship in 2013 allowing her to take several forms of dance including Ballet, Tap, Hip Hop and gymnastics. Also In 2013 she auditioned and was accepted into Dance Olympus V.I.P. Program.

Alyssa traveled the country assisting professional choreographers teach hundreds of students and dance teachers. Alyssa attended Dean college to study dance and graduated in 2014. Now she is an Elite instructor!

Kristin Gicas (Substitute Instructor)

Kristin Gicas has enjoyed dancing since the age of 2. She attended the Denise Day Dance Center in Shrewsbury,MA where she enjoys dancing tap, jazz, ballet, and modern.

Miss Kristin was a member of DancePrisms Nutcracker, as well as the opening ceremonies for First Night Worcester. Miss Kristin earned her Bachelors Degree in Elementary and Special Education from Providence College. While at Providence College, she performed in the Providence College Dance Company for 4 years. She had the opportunity to perform as well as choreograph while a member of the Company. Miss Kristin taught dance for the Providence Public School system for 2 years. She also earned her Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, with a Specialization in Literacy, from Lesley University located in Cambridge, MA.

Miss Kristin currently works as a Special Education Teacher for kindergarten, first, and second grade. She is Level 1 Zumba trained and currently teaches Zumba at HardCore Pilates and Fitness in MA. Miss Kristin is excited to be a part of the energetic and talented staff of Elite Dance Center!
